Five year old Dusty from the UK sent us a marvellous drawing of the story from Japan ‘The Grateful Statues’ told by Alton Takiyama-Chung.
We love all the hats which the little statues are wearing which you’ve painted with different flowers on them, and the snowy mountains and fluffy clouds with the huge orange sun in the background.
It’s a lovely drawing of a lovely story. Thank you.
Dusty spent her summer listening to and telling stories. When her family sat around the campfire they told the story ‘stone soup’. What a great memory.
