Our pick of the week picture goes to 8 year old Ember from California, who has drawn a picture of the Japanese story: Inch Boy! (Known in Japanese as Issun Boshi. ) We love the imaginative way you’ve drawn the Oni – the terrifying red ogre – with bulging eyes, sharp horns and his huge, open mouth showing rather disgusting teeth. And you’ve drawn Inch Boy standing there bravely on the ogre’s tongue – holding a needle as a sword – all ready to save the princess! Well done Ember. You’ve captured the story really well.
